STATE REP CANDIDATE TO DEMAND INVESTIGATION OF SPEAKER FOX’S ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION FROM TAX CREDIT BROKER AT CENTER OF 38 STUDIOS FIASCO
Mark Binder, candidate for State Representative in District 4 (Providence), will hold a press conference on Thursday, July 27, calling for an investigation of an illegal campaign contribution, which House Speaker Gordon Fox has admitted to accepting from Michael Corso, the tax credit broker at the center of the 38 Studios scandal.
Binder, who is running against Fox, will challenge the Speaker’s attempts to sweep the illegal contribution under the rug and will call for federal and state authorities to look into the matter and sanction the Speaker for accepting the illegal contribution and failing to report it for five years.
